Some collaborations begin with branding.
Others begin with a shared philosophy.
The partnership between Maserati and Bianchet belongs firmly to the latter.
To mark the centenary of Maserati’s iconic Trident emblem, the two maisons have unveiled the UltraFino Maserati, a limited-edition flying tourbillon produced in just 100 individually numbered pieces. More than a commemorative timepiece, the creation represents the convergence of two disciplines that have long pursued the same objective: the pursuit of beauty through engineering.
A Dialogue Between Italy and Switzerland
For more than a century, Maserati has translated motorsport heritage into objects defined by performance, elegance, and unmistakable Italian character.
Bianchet, meanwhile, has established a reputation for creating contemporary tourbillons guided by the principles of the Golden Ratio, where proportion is treated not as decoration but as structure itself.
The UltraFino Maserati emerges from the intersection of these philosophies.
Rather than merely placing a logo on a dial, the project explores how automotive engineering and haute horlogerie can speak a common language.

Inspired by the MCPURA
The timepiece draws direct inspiration from Maserati’s MCPURA supercar, a machine that embodies the marque’s contemporary vision of performance.
The parallels are deliberate.
The open-worked architecture of the dial references the wheel design of the MCPURA, while the watch’s carbon-fibre construction echoes the lightweight engineering that underpins the vehicle itself. Even the flying tourbillon becomes symbolic, recalling the mechanical heartbeat of Maserati’s Nettuno V6 engine.
The result is not a watch inspired by a car.
It is a watch that adopts the same engineering principles as the car.

Where Precision Becomes Art
At the heart of the UltraFino Maserati sits Bianchet’s hand-finished UT01 calibre.
Comprising 225 components and housed within an exceptionally slender profile, the movement demonstrates the level of precision required to balance complexity with restraint. Despite its delicate appearance, the watch is engineered to withstand shocks of up to 5,000 G, reflecting the same obsession with durability and performance that defines modern supercar engineering.
Every bridge, surface, and component is finished by hand, reinforcing the idea that mechanical excellence remains inseparable from craftsmanship.

The New Era of Collectible Luxury
Increasingly, the most compelling luxury objects exist at the intersection of categories.
They are neither purely automotive nor purely horological.
They occupy a space where design, engineering, culture, and storytelling converge.
The UltraFino Maserati reflects this evolution perfectly.
Limited to just 100 pieces, the timepiece commemorates one hundred years of the Trident not through nostalgia, but through innovation—creating an object that looks forward while remaining rooted in heritage.
Grandiose Perspective
The most enduring symbols are those capable of evolving without losing their identity. For Maserati, the Trident has represented performance, craftsmanship, and ambition for a century. For Bianchet, beauty has always been inseparable from precision.
The UltraFino Maserati is the meeting point of those ideas.
Not simply a watch.
Not merely a tribute.
But a reminder that the finest expressions of design emerge when engineering and artistry become impossible to distinguish. ∎
