Louis Vuitton has found a new way to make the humble bag charm considerably more luxurious.
The maison’s Dachshund Micro Bag Crossbody Bag Charm transforms the familiar silhouette of the long-bodied dog into a miniature fashion accessory that can be carried as a crossbody pouch or attached to another handbag as an oversized charm.
Priced at R22,365, the piece sits comfortably within Louis Vuitton’s growing universe of playful collectible accessories, where functionality increasingly meets fashion’s fascination with character and novelty.
A Dachshund with a Purpose
Despite its whimsical appearance, the miniature dachshund is designed to be functional.
Measuring approximately 8.3 × 4.7 × 2 inches, the piece features plush faux fur, Monogram coated canvas and gold-tone hardware.
Its long leather strap allows it to be worn across the body or over the shoulder, while the dog itself opens to reveal a small pouch suitable for compact essentials such as earbuds.
