Bentley Mulliner creates three highly bespoke Continental GT S and GTC S models inspired by the Sun, Earth and Moon, bringing Nicolaus Copernicus’ heliocentric universe into the world of handcrafted grand touring.
Bentley has looked to the cosmos for its latest expression of bespoke craftsmanship, creating a three-car collection for Poland inspired by one of the country’s most influential historical figures. Developed by Bentley’s Mulliner division in collaboration with Bentley Warsaw, the Nicolaus Copernicus Collection pays tribute to the Polish polymath whose heliocentric model fundamentally changed humanity’s understanding of the universe.
Limited to three vehicles, the collection is built around the Sun, Earth and Moon, with each Continental GT carrying its own celestial identity. Rather than applying a common graphic treatment across the cars, Mulliner has developed individual exterior colours, interior hides, veneers and detailing to give each vehicle a distinct character while maintaining a coherent collection-wide design language.
At the centre of the project is what Bentley calls the “Copernicus Diagram”, an eight-piece luminary motif representing Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The orbital design appears across the centre console, front and rear quilting panels, welcome lamps and tonneau cover, creating a recurring celestial signature throughout the cars.
Three Cars, Three Celestial Identities
The first car, ‘Sun’, is based on the Continental GTC S convertible and finished in Manuka Orange. Its interior combines Orange main hide elements with Gravity Grey secondary leather, while Copper Stone veneer appears across the dashboard and door waist rails. Orange stitching and carpet binding complete the colour story, positioning the car around the warmth and energy associated with the centre of the solar system.
The second car, ‘Earth’, takes the form of a Continental GT S coupe and moves into a cooler palette. Its bespoke Nebula Blue exterior is complemented by Imperial Blue and Aegean Blue leather, with the latter extending across the dashboard, seat bolsters and headrests. Galaxy Stone veneer, silver contrast piping and a satin-painted Imperial Blue centre console continue the planetary theme.
Then comes ‘Moon’, another Continental GT S coupe, finished in bespoke Moonstruck silver to evoke the surface of Earth’s satellite. Inside, Beluga leather provides the darker foundation, contrasted by Ice leather across the outer elements of the seats and headrests, with the same treatment extending into the centre console, dashboard and door inlay stripes.
The three cars therefore operate as individual interpretations rather than simple variations on one theme.

Mulliner As A Design Studio
The collection also illustrates the extent to which Mulliner has evolved beyond traditional coachbuilding into a highly personalised design and craftsmanship operation.
Bentley describes the Copernicus Collection as a collaboration between Mulliner and its European retail network, with customer preferences, individualisation and handcrafted British craftsmanship forming the foundation of the project.
That philosophy is evident in the smallest details.
Each vehicle receives bespoke treadplates, an individual fragrance and a specially designed key box. Matching pocket squares and scarves extend the Copernicus theme beyond the cars themselves, while a dedicated Spotify playlist forms another part of the collection’s experience.
It is an approach that treats the automobile as a complete environment rather than a standalone machine.

671 Bhp Beneath The Celestial Theme
Despite the emphasis on design and craftsmanship, Bentley has not separated the collection from the sporting character of the Continental GT S.
All three cars use Bentley’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, producing a combined 671 bhp. They are also equipped with titanium sports exhaust systems, active chassis technology, 22-inch Ten Swept Spoke wheels finished in gloss black and Carbon Ceramic Brakes.
The mechanical specification gives the three cars a common performance foundation, while Mulliner uses colour, materials and detailing to differentiate their personalities.
That balance is central to the collection. The Copernicus cars are not static design exercises; they remain high-performance grand tourers, with the bespoke work layered into an already sophisticated mechanical platform.
A Tribute To Copernicus
The decision to honour Nicolaus Copernicus gives the collection a deeper cultural reference than a conventional limited-edition colourway.
Copernicus’ heliocentric astronomical system provides the conceptual structure for all three cars, allowing Bentley to translate an idea rooted in scientific history into materials, colour and craftsmanship. The Sun, Earth and Moon become design identities, while the orbital diagram provides a visual thread connecting the vehicles.
It is a particularly fitting subject for Mulliner because the project depends on a similar relationship between a central idea and countless individual details.
The three cars share the same universe, but each occupies its own orbit.

Bentley’s Bespoke Universe
The Nicolaus Copernicus Collection is ultimately a demonstration of how far contemporary automotive personalisation can extend.
A convertible in Manuka Orange becomes the Sun. A Nebula Blue Continental GT becomes Earth. A Moonstruck silver coupe takes its inspiration from the Moon. Across all three, quilting, veneers, leather, lighting, accessories and even fragrance contribute to a single narrative.
The result is a collection in which the automobile becomes a canvas for history, science and craftsmanship.
For Bentley and Mulliner, it is another demonstration of the possibilities available when a grand tourer is treated not simply as a vehicle, but as an object capable of carrying an entire visual and cultural language.
And in the Copernicus Collection, that language begins with the universe itself.
